Summer
Summer guests may want to swim, fish or boat in nearby Shadow Lake or Lake Parker here in Glover, Caspian Lake in Greensboro, Crystal Lake in Barton, or Lake Willoughby in Westmore. Hike, bike or walk on mountain trails or on our property; many enjoy walking or jogging the 3.5 mile country lane loop outside our door.
The area also offers craft fairs, the Orleans County Fair, antique shops, country stores, the Cabot Cheese Factory, museums, tennis and horseback riding.
Circus Smirkus and Bread and Puppet Theater are both within a 20 minute drive.
If you like to ride single track and aggressive terrain, check out Kingdom Trails.
Stay with us and play golf at the Barton Golf Club or Orleans Country Club, each 20-25 minutes away.
Winter
Winter guests may cross-country ski and snowshoe on our property, or ski at Craftsbury Touring Center.
Downhill skiing is within 40 miles at Burke Mountain or Jay Peak.
Snowmobilers are welcome. A VAST trail managed by the Glover Trail Winders runs right through the property.
Autumn
Autumn brings spectacular colors beginning in early September and peaking at the end of September. The crisp air, clear skies, and vibrant colors make this a favorite season for visitors and Vermonters alike.
Spring
Spring is Maple Sugaring Time. Visit neighboring sugar houses where the making of maple syrup can be observed and the product sampled. Andersonville Maple, Deep Mountain Maple, and Ledgenear Farm are all in the neighborhood.
Visit Thurmond Knight, Luthier (one who makes stringed instruments). Watch as violins, violas and cellos are hand made.
Visit the new water park (Pump House) at Jay Peak.
